Clean place with stunningly beautiful view of the sea. Nicely decorated and functional room with extremely comfy bed and smoke detectors for safety measures. Really comfortable place for one night.

Wi-Fi signal was very weak.

Location right by ocean and the mountains as well as Hermanus for 4 days. Also, close to Grotto beach-ideal for long walks. Ideal location, well-equipped room with unbelievable views of the ocean...

The hotel was a welcome base for enjoying a really quiet area, close to beach with the most breathtaking sunsets and Voelklip, an upmarket suburb of Hermanus, close to the main beaches.

The food was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful, our room had a private exit and parking right in front, and the beach and lake were a short walk away.

Felt like visiting family, no reason to complain.

Excellent value for money, lovely room with semi-private deck - this made all the difference. comfortable bed, good breakfast - value for money!

We took the 2nd last available room and it may not applicable to other sectors of the guest house,but the room was not very soundproof and other guests were very noisy when entering or leaving the building by that passage

It was our most relaxing weekend ever. Nato and Julia thanks for your warm and loving welcoming. You guys really made us feel comfortable and at home. We absolutely loved staying at Baleens Hotel in Hermanus. The location was perfect for our needs and close to all the places we wanted to visit. The breakfast options were plentiful and delicious. The sea views from the hotel were simply breathtaking. And to top it off, the free Wi-Fi was a great added bonus. we highly recommend Baleens Hotel as a fantastic place to stay in Hermanus.

The value for money at this hotel is exceptional. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail and the location in a nice suburb of Hermanus close to the beaches. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with two double beds and a balcony with a stunning sea view. The breakfast is also a highlight, with real coffee and a variety of delicious options.

The hotel could improve on the information provided about breakfast beforehand.

The location was absolutely perfect and our room was comfortable and clean. We would definitely return.

I do think that while the bathrooms were exceptionally clean they could be upgraded and my spouse would have preferred a slightly larger television with dstv in the bedroom however this won't impact our decision to return as Baleens really is value for money.

I had the most amazing room with a private balcony overlooking the sea and lagoon. I could even see whales breaching from there! The staff at Baleens were so friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist. The breakfast spread was delicious and satisfying. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

No attention to detail, no bath mats etc. Rooms could have been cleaner.
